Author of "Freedom From Body Memory" & Founder of the Body Memory Recall (BMR) Approach
Since 1992, Jonathan has explored body memory and its relationship to chronic pain, stress, illness and behavior. His BMR approach of therapeutic bodywork supports the body's innate ability to recall, release and integrate suppressed stress in the body from past experiences.
In 1994, he was privileged to serve as the Chief Physical Therapist and a senior seminar instructor at the internationally recognized John F. Barnes' Myofascial Release Treatment Center in Sedona, Arizona. There, he successfully treated individuals from all over the world who suffered from conditions that failed to resolve from traditional medical treatment and therapy.
In 1997, during a creative brainstorming session with his father, the name Body Memory Recall was born from the integration of multiple mind-body techniques as well as physical therapy training which collectively supported the innate self healing mechanisms of the body.
Jonathan's book, "Freedom from Body Memory - Gain the Courage to Let Go of the Past & Live Creatively" was published in 2009. The second edition is due in 2011. His book is the first of its kind in that it provides his personal awakening to body memory in addition to the current scientific, historical and clinical evidence of the body memory phenomenon.
Jonathan A. Tripodi is a certified provider of continuing education by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. He teaches the BMR approach nationwide.
